Meet

Melissa

On a journey to experience the fullness of life and work so that others can experience it too.

I am a strong leader and an effective teacher. I worked as a touring musical artist (solo and with American Music Award Winning and Grammy Nominated group, Avalon) for 10 years. I worked as the Associate Pastor of a liberal Christian Church called GRACEPOINTE for 8 years. I worked as the Hope Curator (touring production, curation of concerts and participants, performer, and host) for TImothy’s Gift (a prison outreach) for 5 years. I am now the co-founder of IMAGINARIUM – a fresh expression of spiritual community in Nashville. I also speak, write, and consult.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
Red-tailed Hawk. This is my spiritual animal. I feel very connected to hawks and always appreciate and seek a higher perspective on life. They’re “always on a journey”.

What’s the last thing you watched on TV and why did you choose to watch it?
Game of Thrones (for the second time) I love the story line, the depth of characters, the fact the story allows you to understand the intention the enemies and even grow to care for them. Plus the competition, romance, drama. I’m all in.

What inspires you?
Connection and responsibility

Favorite 90s jam?
“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing”, Aerosmith

You’ve been given an elephant. You can’t give it away or sell it. What would you do with the elephant?
JACKPOT! I would befriend it, care for it, and learn to ride it around the neighborhood obv.
